ENFAC S&G Signs Contract for Additional Installation of Ship Air Sterilization
and Purification System 'Smart Air Safe' on Government and Public Agency Vessels, Totaling 228 Units

On October 30th, ENFAC S&G signed a contract to install an additional 228 units of the ship air sterilization and purification system, 'Smart Air Safe,' on vessels at the Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology, Sokcho Maritime Police Station, Polar Research, and the Korea Maritime and Ocean University.

Smart Air Safe (S.A.S), selected as an innovative product by the Public Procurement Service last year, has already been installed in 161 units, including the Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology 's Hannarae ship, Sokcho Maritime Police Station Guardship, Polar Research Institute's Araon ship, Korea Maritime and Ocean University's Hannaras ship, and the Navy's Incheon Naval Defense Command Guardship

This contract follows additional agreements driven by the positive responses from actual users and the increasing interest in improving working conditions and welfare as the crew's onboard stay duration extends.

Smart Air Safe (S.A.S) is a three-stage air sterilization and purification system that not only addresses fine dust and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) but also provides excellent effectiveness in improving air quality inside ships where ventilation is challenging, with the added capability of virus sterilization

In reality, the air conditioning systems and ducts inside ships are contaminated with long-term accumulated dust and bacteria. It is not difficult to observe crew members covering diffusers with materials such as non-woven fabric or boxes at their discretion.

In such harsh conditions, 'Smart Air Safe (S.A.S)' has been certified by the Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL) to achieve a maximum reduction rate of up to 99.8% for floating viruses and airborne bacteria. This certification demonstrates its practical ability to contribute to the prevention of respiratory diseases among crew members and the improvement of the ship's internal environment.

ENFAC S&G CEO Myung Soo Kim mentioned, 'As the interest in ship air quality has been steadily increasing, the related business is showing continuous growth. We have been proactively leading product development to meet the needs of our customers, and the high satisfaction of our users has resulted in a sharp increase in sales.
